Description
Castello la Rocca has age-old origins dating back to medieval time. It is situated in one of the most impressive areas of high Mugello, 10 km from Firenzuola, at 800 mt of altitude. The property can be easily reached from Florence (45 km) by the ancient road Granducale which connects Tuscany and Emilia, through the whole land of villas which once pertained to the Medici family. Torlonia princes lived in the Castle until early XX century.

Torlonia princes lived in the Castle until early XX century.
In the vast private park are situated the Castle (ITF948), the mansion (ITF942) each with private swimming pool, house keepers building and a small private chapel available for wedding ceremonies. The property is suitable for receptions and weddings. Catering service upon request. Also upon request: cook, domestic help, baby sitting service. Heating and hot water to be paid depending on usage. Castello la Rocca (480 sqm) is completely independent. The building has massive and impressive stone walls. Interiors are furnished with ancient luxury pieces. Guests can stroll around the nice park with centuries-old trees and use the private swimming pool (6x12, open May-Oct.) or go for trekking
along the paths. There is a horse riding at approx. 16 km away, Traversa is 700 mt away (food shop, bar and restaurant), approx. 18 km Barberino del Mugello with shops of all sorts and a big outlet. Tennis court 10 km, lake Bilancino where you can go fishing or enjoy the sun on the beach. Golf course 25 km away in Scarperia. Upon request two extra beds available, extra charge to be paid on the spot of 80. Phone at guests disposal.
